About
Built by a startup. Ruled by a Foundation.
LGTY is built by a startup, but it is meant to be ruled by a non-profit foundation, because legitimacy belongs to its users, not to a single company.

The beginning
A certified startup in Spain.
Recrypter Technologies SL
Incorporated in Spain in August 2025 and certified as a startup by ENISA in April 2026, under Spain's Law 28/2022 for the promotion of the startup ecosystem. Recrypter develops the LGTY project, prepares the offer and coordinates the launch. It does not act as custodian: holders are responsible for their own keys and wallets. Full legal identification is in the legal notice.

LGTY is an early-stage project. Features, terms and timelines may evolve.
The next step
A protocol this important shouldn't stay ours.
So at the TGE, stewardship moves to an independent, non-profit foundation, because legitimacy should never depend on who holds control.
Now
Recrypter builds it
A startup invents, funds, audits and launches LGTY.
At the TGE
A foundation protects it
An independent, non-profit foundation stewards the protocol so no one can capture it.
It safeguards LEGITY. It never decides who owns what. The protocol is autonomous even from the foundation.
The LEGITY Foundation does not exist yet. Its legal form and jurisdiction are being finalized ahead of the TGE.
